It’s been a while since I posted anything and it feels so good to be back. I have missed you guys!
Today, I will be talking about Suedette. So, if you don’t know what Suedette is, let me break it down for you. It is similar to Suede. Suedette (also known as faux suede) is any imitation Suede fabric, usually made from cotton or rayon; while Suede is a type of soft leather, made from calfskin, with a brushed texture to resemble fabric.
Suedette was a big trend last year. There were Suedette jackets, shrugs, dresses and tops in almost every major brand store. So, I decided to give this trend a try.
I found this beautiful Suedette navy shirt dress in Marks & Spencer’s during a 70% off sale, which was an amazing deal. The MRP was Rs. 4999, and I got it for Rs.900 only! Isn’t that great? 🙂
This dress is absolutely comfortable. It is kinda heavy though. But, the fabric is very soft and snug. And, it’s perfect for the winter season. It ends just a few inches above the knees. Actually, this is the first shortest dress I ever bought because I used to hate my legs just because they are fat. How silly of me! I mean no one ever discouraged me from wearing them, it was just a stupid little insecurity of mine that I decided to let go of for my own good. But now, I have multiple short dresses and skirts.
I have paired this dress with red bow t-strap heels from StreetStyleStore which I got for Rs.899. It’s an online shoe store and they have a great collection of shoes. This pair is quite comfortable. And since it’s a closed shoe I decided to order a size bigger. And I am glad I did because the bigger size fit perfectly.
I have accessorized my outfit with big gold hoops from Globus. I am wearing two sets of stacked rings from Westside. One pair is golden and the other is antique silver. I don’t really remember the prices of the accessories but I am sure it’s all under a thousand rupees.
I have kept the make up very light. I am wearing a Lakme Absolute Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Jet Black. I have used a nude lipstick from Elle 18 in the shade Nude Soft 11. It’s the perfect nude color for my skin tone. And, I am wearing my usual favorite foundation from Inglot in shade YSM 52.
Let me know if you have tried suedette too.
